I just did this last week on my other car. Used blow dryer and got emblem pretty warm, but not too hot to touch, didnt want to overheat the paint. Had to use some fishing line off of my sturgeon/steelhead/salmon rod and the line still occasionally broke, had to use many pieces to cut through. The line off my trout rod was worthless. So was dental floss. I used the spray on gel Goo Gone also, let it soak for a while then used a plastic razor blade on the adhesive. My fingers and fingernails didnt do much in removing the adhesive. The plastic razor blade didnt hurt the finish at all, I kept it well lubed with the Goo Gone. Then waxed when done. I was surprised how hard the adhesive behind the badges was to cut through.

Raptors are over 80" wide, and therefore require clearance lamps (5 amber lights) across the width of the vehicle

    marker light (1) - raptor lights (3) - marker light (1)

One of the first things I bought for my truck was a pair of predator style nerf bars. I did not know what rock sliders were at the time. They have definitely taken a beating over the years and have snagged many rocks and roots. Probably the only thing I've really regretted so far.

    New rock sliders arrive tomorrow!

Lol i almost made the mistake of purchasing the Nfab "rock rails" with steps thinking they were capable. Actually had paid for em, luckily the vendor i bought them through was more than accomadating and let me cancel my order of those since I was ordering other stuff instead.

now i've got @Shmellmopwho 's sliders on my truck and couldn't be happier.

Piece of fishing line behind the badge. Just saw back and forth to cut through all the adhesive and then just use some adhesive remover on the remaining adhesive.

I went to a tacoma meet up and I was the only one without raptor lights. The first thing someone said to me was that I hadn't done enough mods to my truck and that I should start with raptor lights.

He also had a big bumper with a winch hook tied by a piece of rope to the frame. No winch.

Should this thread be titled “what have you undone to your third gen today” ?

I hate my oem roof rack. It flexes way to much.

Hummm interesting. I would say the exact opposite. The stock shocks were absolutely garbage and floppy on and off road. the 2.5 resi shocks on there now is probably the #1 mod so far. No more bucking up the rear end from hard bottom outs and I don’t cringe every time a deep woop comes out out of the dark.
Also , the E rated tires I have now don’t seem to be as mushy in the corners. Very solid . More importantly they’ve held up to many desert trips so far . the stock sr5 tires became useless after one anza borrego trip (chunks were missing from them and white plys were exposed under the tread )

The CBI bumpers I got on now also helped a lot. I used to scrape the rear tow hitch all the time . now the high clear bumper never gets stuck. And the front bumper is actually a bumper now ! Wtf the stock plastic garbage one actually said “do not step”. How are u supposed to work in the engine compartment? Plus it makes climbing up tall steps easier with out scraping the front.

As far as the 20” led light bar I have goes , that’s an absolute necessity. Going even like 35 in the desert at night is sketchy with out. Can’t see turns or deep holes coming up. Also for night time shooting out in BLM land they’re awesome for illuminating your targets.

And the rocks sliders... ya just look at my rocker panels when I didn’t have them lolz.

Mine came (used) with the tube steps, I don't 100% like them but do feel they might save some door dings so they stay -- for now.

Edit: They will probably stay as the ground is too far away for me to get ambitious enough to take them off...

Well, you were only partially correct. Cab lights also had the same purpose, except they were intended to designate both the width and height of the vehicle to oncoming vehicles. And FYI, to some people the term "Redneck" is neither a slur or a means of insult as you've chosen to use it.

I’m a redneck from North Carolina, didn’t mean it in a derogatory way at all! That’s just what we always called them growing up. (People always knew exactly what you were talking about)

We had a buddy that we always poked fun at because he aftermarket added them to his Ram 1500 that was too small to need them so it wasn’t a factory option.

Also pretty sure the raptor is only required to have them because of the width, not height so not sure why I’m partially wrong. Otherwise they’d have to be on the roof.
