Anybody buying ANY real or replica TRD Pro grille and installing it on their Tacoma that's not a pro is already faking it, who the hell cares, out come the elitists. We have been down this road a million times guy, its a losing battle on your side, the aftermarket community is living proof.

For one, who are you to judge on what people want to put on their vehicles.
Am I trying to make my TRD OR into a TRD Pro? No.
Do I like the standard grill that's on my truck?
    No.
Do I like the style of the Pro grill?
    Yup.
If I could afford the actual grill that I want for my truck I would buy that, but since I'm willing to compromise based on price and style I will go this route rather than spend for a "authentic" grill or the grill I really want. I further plan to remove the rib section in the middle and mount a led lightbar....but I guess I'm a tool for doing that as well. But, saving money on an aftermarket to cut up I guess is stupid in your opinion and I should just spend the $400+ on the real grill and cut that up.
Also I don't look at my truck when driving 60. The stuff I decide to customize is not for others to look at, it's for me.

c'mon guys this is nothing new. When I had my B4 Audi A4 and we were all buying the factory Audi RS4 grille that was much more aggressive and sporty than the germane stock grille. This is no different...just a cheaper option.

    I was told there might be an option for the T A C O M A lettering...but until I see pics it's hearsay

Exactly. It's one thing to buy a "TRD Pro" grille and put it on your truck, especially since it doesn't explicitly say "TRD Pro". It's another if you buy a BMW and put on M3 badges or an Integra and put on ITR stickers. There's no "posing" here, it's just customizing with factory parts from another truck. People have been putting parts from a different vehicle on theirs since the first day of wheeled vehicles. Nobody ever says, "holy shit, you stupid poser. stop trying to make your baseline into a version of my elite ride". Be annoyed at the guys buying Pro stuff and trying to pass it off as real, not the guys who just change the styling.

Ethically, this makes me cringe and facepalm.

But at least it looks like it's made well with quality materials and fit/finish is good, I guess.

It does not matter... I would much rather be driving a smaller pick-up such as the Ranger.

Agreed, same... same... for me. Toyota already butt raped some that paid nearly full price for the grille when it came out, I kinda like seeing someone pull this off successfully. It looks pretty darn good in pics so far. I'll know when I receive it and compare them.

I mean it wouldn't be as concerning to me if it was a TRD Pro "style" grille - even the honeycomb parts look 100% the same area and size and everything else is the same except there's no toyota lettering on it. Really does look well made though.

Nothing stopping you from doing that, why do you think I still have the 04 in the family instead of trading it in?

A few Rangers are available if you can find them....

Then you can look for faux parts for it too.

Yeah, I'm also not seeing the removable center snap in piece that's on the factory Pro grille underneath the TOYOTA logo. I suppose it's different enough so they can stay out of trouble.
