Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I like the quote. Agree and disagree on the other part. Living with anyone is a challenge, you just have to want to accept it. We didn't live together before, but it might have worked out quirks we took care of after marriage. We were/are committed, so its all good in the end.

    Grandma was really wise.
In addition, whether you are getting married or going to the bathroom, number 1 and 2 are awesome. You can't go wrong either way.

I've said that many a time. My wife has 30 yrs in working with special needs people, I think that is the only type of person who can tolerate my antics.

Yup. Not a single marriage has lasted in my family. Maybe I will someday, maybe I won't. But if I do, it won't be just to have a big day. That's not what it is about and it's hard to find people, especially women who look past that big day.

Yeah and I'm not the kind of person to sink a bunch of money into a wedding. I'd rather put that towards a house payment or something.

Marriage isn't something you run into. I mean I am not looking to get married right now I want to make sure that I find the right woman and make sure it is a one time deal.

    This..

Mine was in Vegas, the actual wedding including tux and dress, DVD and 300 pics on a CD, cost about $1000. The whole 8 day-7 nights with airfare and everything was under $3000. Totally stress free.

My wife and I were married 13 years ago outside of Durango Co. We went to the court house in Durango and that afternoon were were married by a Methodist Priest next to a lake at the ranch we were staying at. Took maybe 10 mins tops pictures and everything. I tipped the Priest $200 and we have been happily married every since.

First off, I have to laugh at this:rofl: I am in this boat basically. haha

2nd I think Oz basically nailed it right here. Though that is pretty vague and open it pretty much sums it up perfectly.

My wife and I managed to keep our whole wedding just under $2K, which her parents ended up paying 75% (we didn't plan for that). We did sink some money into the Honeymoon, but Hawaii was awesome! haha

I know more about your situation than all these other people do and I can think of a handful of things to tell you at this point but I think I will take it to PM for ya.

OZ nailed it in a satirical kind of way.

My wife of 13 years has become my rock. The last few years have been pretty rough (see sig below). If it were not for her and my daughter I would not be her today. So do not underestimate the power of marriage or having someone to share your most intimate thoughts with. If you find the right person then your life will be fulfilled. I'm not saying there will be ups and downs. There will be. But if you find the right person the Up's will far outweigh the downs.

Don't listen to anyone on TW under 30

I can't picture life without my wife of 25 years and my two sons.

Being married is how it's meant to be IMO.

Sorry all but I give all glory to God for my family !
