Sending prayers your way, better late then never. Hope this little dude makes a full recovery!

Edit: For those looking for an update, the following was posted on his Facebook page on Nov 26th:

"Hey SC82 warriors! Here's an update for you all! This past weekend has been full of ups and downs. Sammy has been storming a lot, which, like I said, is a very emotional and traumatic experience for both Sammy and his family. He is off the ventilator now and is breathing on his own accompanied by 100% oxygen, which is huge! Such a great improvement! He did, on Sunday, open his eyes for just a few seconds and then closed them again and hasn't opened them since; this for friends and family alike was a definite tear jerking moment. These things are all little but HUGE improvements in terms of Sammy's condition/state. Prayers are needed for not just Sammy, but his family too because they need the strength to cope and get through this mentally and physically straining time!" -

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone. I was out of town for the holidays and try to use my phone as little as possible. The update posted above is the latest news posted. However as far as I am aware after that he stopped breathing on his own and was put back on the ventilator. The did move him out of ICU and in to a rehabilitation unit.

Sammy has been pretty stable lately. He did undergo a surgery where they put a tracheotomy in to help him breathe at night, he is breathing on his own during the day, but is having trouble during the night. As far as his lung goes, it is healing quite nicely!! He is still storming some, mostly due to the medications he is on so they are switching around the medications he is on to reduce the storming. Also, the doctors are slowly lowering the amount of sedative he is on; on Tuesday he did open his eyes for about 30 seconds, looked around and went back to sleep and yesterday he open them for a split second and shut them again almost instantaneously. All of these are great improvements, however he still has a long ways to go!! Prayers are still very much needed! So far Sammy has been in the hospital for over 30 days, and your prayers have kept him strong and fighting, so keep the prayers coming!

Sending prayers to Sammy and your family. My nephew was in a natural gas explosion earlier this year and was hospitalized for 3 months because of his burns so I have a small idea of the pain you're all suffering.
