i have a 2021 tacoma off road. i want to install a redarc brake controller. I am not handy at all.

    1. If i screw something up will it void any warranties on the truck? Will just installing it void a warranty?

    2. how likely am i to screw something up if i try to install this myself?

    1. a) If you screw it up. Yes, anything that fails related to what you did will not be covered under warranty.

    1. b) Just installing it will not void any warranty.

    2. Not likely at all if you buy one that is plug & play.
plug in the connector to the factory connector and mount the controller.

It's super easy, I have a Redarc one also. Remove the kick plate and fish out the white connector, it's *buried* way behind a wire harness. Plug it in. Be sure to route the wires in a way that will never conceivably interfere with your feet or the pedals! Use zip ties all over hell and gone! Mount the box securely. It can be at any angle but must not move as it internally levels itself out every time you start the truck. Mine worked great the first time I used it, have fun towing!
