Just make sure you tell any future buyer thats its not a TRD or he can sue you for misrepresentation.

That's my thing. My dad special ordered a Chevy when I was a kid and asked them to keep the stickers off. When they asked why he told them if they wanted to know what his truck had they better fucking ask.

Mine has no stickers, didn't request it but I like it that way.

But to the OP, it's your truck do what you please tell anyone who says otherwise to GTFO.

    Why not? It's your truck.

I've seen Acura tags on Hondas and BMW emblems on a Toyota.

^I've also seen Hyundai badges on a Bentley, though the backstory is unknown. Maybe some lawyer or doctor lost a bet with a colleague.

The leaf pack thing is true unless you get the rear leaf TSB... or buy the truck in Canada. Effectively, the distinguishing item that makes TRD Sport more "sporty" on pavement is the 17" wheels with slightly lower-profile tires.

My sister once had a Cavalier that had no badges. Supposedly it was purchased at a government auction and they ordered the fleet vehicles that way.

Yah.. And comes with sport suspension, bilsteins all around, 17" alloys etc. Also it seems that the sports come with more features like the jbl/entune/navigation stuff vs the SR5 although it may just be options.. More options usually on the TRD's if you are willing/able to pay for them.

Reminds me of a guy we used to give a hard time at my old job. He bought a base v6 SL mercedez and rebadged it with the V8 badges. We would ask him to pop the hood and ask if he had lost a couple cylinders racing.. Lol

Nope, you can get all those fancy options on the SR5. I have them. Trd sport has the nice side mirrors with blinkers though.

I've owned a lot of different cars and trucks and I have perused chat forums for almost all of them.

Of all the automotive forums I've seen, I have NEVER seen one so full of so many stupid, bullshit questions from insecure, indecisive people as on TW.

I swear, you all sound like a bunch of 12 year old girls. "Oh, I was thinking about painting my shiftknob red! Is that dumb? Is it gay? Does it make me gay? What if I did it blue?".... I may have to sell my Tacoma.....
