so i really want to upgrade my brakes to the tundra calipers, but i bought some KMC Enduros a few years back and their 15". from what i have researched the tundra brake mod only fits in 16"+ wheels.

so i keep thinking about trying to find a person who would want to trade, and time keeps passing on

but i don't want ugly wheels, and i can only imagine someone with some fugly stock ones who would downsize to 15's because it would be an upgrade to get nicer looking wheels.

Am i crazy to hope/think i could trade my nice custom wheels for maybe a nice stock set like some black TRD pros in 16" or 17"

[IMG]enduro_16x8_5x114.30_matte_black.jpg these are what i have in 15"

    TRDPRO.jpg what i'm interested in.
how much do these typically go for when used?

well... chances are you wont get many biters. the 15s wont even fit the newer trucks.

those 17" wheels new are 170 a piece from the dealer (give or take)

Yeah, probably won't get too many people wanting the 15s unless they're in a 1st Gen. The TRD Pro wheels aren't very cheap and you'd most likely be looking at a trade plus cash if someone does want to trade.

OK good to know than that my buyer/trade market narrows to 1st and 2nd gen only

wait will 15's fit the 2nd gens?

that's about what i paid for my wheels when new, just under 200 a piece.

shoot i'd trade them with tires for a set without.... id need new tires anyways going to the bigger rim

A lot of guys who off road or rock crawl like to have small wheels so that their tires can have more sidewall for traction.

15s wont fit the 2nd gens either. same brakes as the 3rd gens. pretty much only 1st gens can fit 15s unless they have tundra brakes on them, then they cant even fit em.

well damn my best bet than is to just spend another 1,800 on wheels and tires, than post mine up for sale and take up space in my garage until someone wants em.

just remembered i got 5 and have one on my spare lol. ill probably keep that though...

Yea, sadly 15s ain’t as popular as they use to be. Mostly because of figment.
Hell new 4runners the smallest wheel they can fit is 17s

After running 16" aftermarket wheels for more than five years, I went back to my 15" stockers because I could not find white letter tires that fit the 16" wheels...

I bought a set of those chrome-look wheels skins on Amazon ($60 for a complete set of four) and shipped them to my uncle in Myrtle Beach (he owns a wheel refinishing business); He sanded them down, painted them in a metallic gunmetal color, and clearcoated them!

I think they turned out pretty good! They also make chrome wheel skins for 6-lugs...
