I have a set of Pro Comp 7089's 16" with BFG all terrains with pretty good tread on them. I found a guy that will trade me a color matched leer camper shell and his factory TRD rims and tires with not so much tread left on them.

Good deal? Here is pics of his setup he will be trading.

Tit for tat....price of the top vs. you buying tires again.....plus you loose the after market wheels in the deal. Honestly, I wouldn't do it. Depends on how bad U really want a top.

Don't do it. Access cab shells won't fit regular cabs.

Why not? Isn't the bed the same length?

Yes, but the angle of the cab is different. That is why I can't find a damned used one anywhere - they are pretty uncommon it seems...

Like it won't fit at all or just doesn't fit perfectly?

I guess not perfectly...apparently are cabs are less angular in the back. Heck, maybe you can make it work...See below.

Ok. Thanks. I will do a little more research on it. At worst I will just test fit this one and see what happens. Either way I'll let you know.

Sure, if that guy is close go try it out...don't take my word for it : ) I'm just going by what I read on TW.

I suppose it could work, just maybe not look "perfect."

Friction, I went to Leer's website and did there little "find what fit's" form and when I choose the regular cab it actually says the camper I have selected is for the access cab short bed. I am assuming it will work. I also looked at some other threads and the "lines" that the campers have right at the cab look almost exactly like what is pictured in the pic I posted above. But again I will test fit and let ya'll know.

Anyways back to the deal. I was planning on buying Duratracs the middle of next year anyways and I like the TRD rims better than my black ones. Money wise I am coming out pretty good right? The tires and wheels cam on my truck so I am not sure.

Good luck and please report back!

If the camper fit I'd be all over the deal, but I too prefer the TRD OR rims over the black ones and want a shell too...

Pics of the fit of an access cab camper on a regular cab.

Had a few more photos but the image gallery is acting screwy. Anyway it fits but I had to put a piece of rubber or weatherstripping on the upper cab brake light as it fits right up on it. No leaks though!

So the shell angles are the same for a access and double cab? I just found a shell on a dbl cab but I have an access cab?

Yeah I believe the angle is the same on the access and double cab. Just make sure the bed length is the same (obviously).:D

As long as you have the long bed double cab it should work. Both the access (6ft) and DCLB (6ft) have the same length bed, but the short bed obviously wont fit (5ft)
