I am picking up an 05 indigo ink tacoma DCSB TRD off road prerunner in 1-2 weeks. I was wanting to get rid of the chrome grill and rear bumper, as I hate chrome. Would it be easier to paint them to match the truck, or plasti dip them?
Not sure which would look better either.

    opinions?

Plastidip would be easier. But the front of the truck takes a lot of abuse. Have you considered spray bedliner? It may be easier then the paint to match route.

As for the bumper, I plastidipped mine and it has held up great and is really easy. Good luck!

oh yeah. There's a guy on here that sells the painted new grills for pretty cheap, then I could just get the rear bumper painted to match!

Plastidip holds up a lot better than people think. I've had plastidip on my grille for months now and it lasted through most of the winter. Color matched would probably look better, but plastidip would still look good too but be way cheaper and if you decide you don't like it or it gets damaged all you have to do is peel it off and its back to stock.

It may hold up where you are and where the OP is, but in south Louisiana between the lovebugs and humidity, it just doesn't keep well on the grille. A buddy of mine did his the same day we did the rear bumpers, and he's already had to redo it.
