I would not install one on my truck. I think it looks like a tacky attempt at a home made roll bar. I have in fact, seen BETTER home made roll bars.

i personally wouldn't but its your truck man, you don't need others opinions. Make your truck yours, and if you like it throw it on.

i kinda like it. those look better on older trucks, agreed. but the new design fits the newer models better i think. if it doesnt get in the way then i think it would be useful for mounting all kinds of stuff on trails

I don't care for them unless they are true "Roll Bars",A little bit of trivia - that name was used loosely by offroad shops 25 years ago, when they were actually chrome "show bars".

The ones I have seen in this thread are all show bars and not a true roll bar.We used to make some badass roll bars out of 3" - .40"(schedule.40) pipe that you bolted through the bed and frame. Now those were true roll bars.

I put my first one in my 1978 Chevy shortbed p/u with 12" of lift and 40" Ground Hawgs.

My headache rack looks a lot like that rack, but mine is functional for hauling long lumber/steel tube, etc.

Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.
I think that this particular design is a disgusting piece of engineering. Someone got way too carried away with the dimple die machine, and it just looks like it is seated way too far back. If it was like the Marty McFly bar then I would be more apt to like it, but this thing.........no. Sorry.
