Just to clear things up a little. The weight listed for the FJ bumper is appx: 108 lbs, and the Tundra bumper is listed at 197 lbs. I'm guessing that since our trucks are smaller than the Tundra and bigger than the FJ, the weight would be somewhere between 150-170 lbs. But once again this is just my half-assed guess, which is usually wrong, just ask my wife! :D

I think I would trade in my truck for that tundra in a heart beat. So my answer...yes, yes, yes. Wait! If it looks as good as this one, then yes wait! You cant go wrong.

Update: I e-mailed FabFours the other day, asking if they have plans to expand thier product line. I got a response from Matt McShane of Fab Fours today. He stated that due to the tremendous success of the new Tundra line, they are getting flooded with requests for Tacoma bumpers as well. He stated that they have their engineers already working on it, and will have products out in the first half of '09 (Matt said that he couldn't get any more specific with a release date). I sent him a reply thanking him for his time, and added a line in to not forget about the pre '05 Tacomas, being that Toyotas last for a long time, and you wouldn't want to exclude such a large number of truck owners from your products. I'll post an update for those interested when they are available, and pictures when mine is installed.

naw, its not mounted crooked, its the flex of the trucks frame vs. the body. my bumper does that on my taco when its flexxed out too. it'll have an inch to inch and a half gap on one side and be touching the fender on the other.

Again, looks a lot like the road armor stuff and I LIKE IT A LOT!!!! I'm glad to see that more than one manufacturer is going this direction...

I think I would like it better with the full brush guard rather than just the prerunner bar, but I don't like the way they did the bars on the FJ. Interested in how they plan on doing it for the Taco...

i'd imagine it would look almost identical to the one on this Tundra since they've got a certain design theme that goes through their line and the FJ and Tundra follows it.

I initially contacted Fab Fours via their generic sales e-mail: sales@fabfours.com The response that I got was from Matt McShane. His e-mail is mmcshane@fabfours.com (cool guy). Feel free to contact them. I already got the "OK" from my better half/ keeper of the finances, so I'm impatiently waiting until they hit my local four wheel shop. With any luck, I'll have the first pics of the bumper on a Taco (mine) on TW.

Wait wait wait......I'd be happy to donate my truck for some fitment and trial experiments. I'd be happy with just keeping the results of their hard work. :D

I don't care how cold it's getting, I'll still ride the motorcycle if it means them taking my tacoma from me. :D

I don't think I need to stress how much I love the looks of those bumpers.

Normally I'd say stand in line Jr. :D, But I see you are in the Army. 'Nuff said, you can have the first bumper. I'm just a cop, protecting your family while you are protecting us. Keep up the great work and much respect!\-Rob

Maybe for a superduty, but tacos are small and nimble, that big ol' chunk of metal on the front of the taco, no thanks!!
