I've had my Tacoma for about a year and a half and there's no doubt in my mind my next vehicle will be another Tacoma. I may look at getting an access cab with the 4 cylinder next time around. Sometimes I miss having the room. But the gas mileage, looks and reliability have been great.

Not having plans... Is that because you have one you like already that you plan to keep or because no further need for one or you don't like them anymore or....????

No issues with yours, but you'd buy another one. Why not keep the one you have ?

I had 2 05's, a 95.5, a 98, and now I'm back in a 96. And I've had about a dozen older Toyota trucks and I'm on my second FJ40. Yes I would buy another. But I must say the second gens haven't been anywhere near as good to me as the first gens or older trucks though. But still better than anything else on the market currently in my opinion.

I am keeping my current truck for a while and quite honestly I cant afford to buy another one(New). The Prices of these trucks brand new is getting ridiculous. I have also been driving a Tacoma for the past 12 or so years, I would be looking to change it up on my next purchase.

As much as I enjoy my Tacoma, I will not purchase another one. I've been looking around for a 2012 or 2013 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. Not in a hurry to get one but defintely have been searching. I personally want a bigger truck with a bigger engine. I am not concerned about fuel mileage but a Toyota Tundra should only be a couple of MPGs less than the 16.2 MPGs that I am getting in my Tacoma.

I'd buy another Tacoma. I am currently on my 4th one, (1989, 2000, 2006 & 2011). Love Toyota vehicles in general. Wife had a 2008 RAV4 and now has a 2011 RAV4. I had a Chevy Blazer in between the '89 and '00 and couldn't wait to get rid of the Chevy and go back to Toyota. Best trucks ever in my opinion.

I'm in the process of shopping for a new tacoma.

I sold my 08' to get my equity out for getting married/buying a house expenses. Now that it's all settled down, shopping again.

This time I'm shopping for an sr5+tow package rather than a TRD model.

I have had nothing but MOPAR since I was 18. I learned to drive in an 84 Toyota manual extra-cab when I was 16. Beat the crap out of that toy and it always came back for more! Just bought a 13 SR5 w/manual DBLCB and 4X4. I made the switch because my ex-wife's 2000 4 runner SR5 Manual is still kicking (200,000) and not to mention stupid issues with my past MOPARS. Plus I gotta look at the cost, reliability and resale the tacoma is / has been smokin everyone on the market. Just upset I never made the switch before. Lookin forward to rackin up the miles and smiles

Absolutely. There's no doubt the Tacoma is the best mid-size truck on the market. Regardless of the truck type and forum you're always going to have a few outliers that have problems with their trucks and those definitely grab attention, but the vast majority of Taco owners never have a major problem and that message gets lost when you see the posts where people are having problems. The Tacoma is still an exceptionally reliable vehicle that currently has no equal in the U.S. market.

I constantly read posts where people say they wished the 2nd Gens were as reliable as 1st Gens and the 80s and 90s Toyota trucks and I would argue they are, but with internet at our fingertips it's much easier to highlight any problem to the masses now than it was when those trucks were introduced. I've owned an '89, '91, '96 and an '01 (along with my '07 T4R I bought new and still have) and my '12 is leaps and bounds better than any of my previous ones. I'm sure others have had different experiences, but that's my $.02. As long as I'm driving mid-sized trucks I'll only drive a Tacoma.

absolutely would purchase another, My 08 DCLB sport has been the best truck i have had hands down, always looking at the Tundra crew max though, who doesn't want a V8 in their truck... just saying. My cousins have had dodge 1500's and the next year i see them on our annual camping trip, they are driving ford F150's, said the dodge was a good truck but had problems, wonder whats in store for this year...
