Had a 2011 DCLB Sport, moved to the mountains in NE Oregon (5000 ft) and now have a 2014 DC Off Road. The short box is much easier to park and love the lockers in the snow.

I would not get another Tacoma. I would more than likely get a 4Runner.

They would need to make a diesel, and a diesel that has a lot more power, I wouldn't mind paying the extra money if it had almost everything that I would want

I have a 24x24 attached garage, A full size short bed truck will fit length wise, but my garage was added to the house in the mid 60s. So it only have a 7' door.

My Taco fits in there ok. But no full size truck will fit unless you take the tires off and put it on those little wheeled dollies and push it in.

I have a 36x40 garage in the back of my property, but its over a 100 yards away from the house with no driveway to it. It's an atv, tractor, and toy shop. So nothing gets parked in there.
