    Hi folks,

I'm looking at a Tacoma SR5 Access cab in the area sold by a dealership. It's a 2017, one previous owner, and maintained by the dealership with a little over 30K miles on it. It was previously owned by a property management company. The exterior looks good, the interior is a bit dirty and worn looking. For this market, I would say it's a fair price and a little lower than others are asking.

They put new tires on it and did a brake job and a few other things but they did not offer it up as a "Certified" used car. The interior was not cleaned well or detailed

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/pSRiGnX19krQouZ36

Question is, 30K miles in three years - driven around the city property to property daily, are those considered "hard" miles? And knowing that, would you buy it?

They are asking 29K for it. Given the VIN, KBB estimates an original invoice of like 31500 in 2017

Condition - the exterior looked ok to me - couple of nicks and scratches. Carfax(if you trust them) says no accidents or incidents.

Also, if the vehicle has an open recall on it, would that preclude the vehicle from being a "certified" used vehicle?

    Thanks for looking!
    S~

Based on the information provided.... I don’t think anyone can give an educated opinion. Maybe some more info? Price, package, etc....

As a property management vehicle, I would be more concerned with it being idled for very long periods of time, than how many miles it has

Is the dealer a Toyota dealer? If so there's a reason why (usually bad) they didn't cpo it. I'm an accountant for a Ford dealer FYI.

For reference I have a 2016 TRD Sport Access cab rear wheel drive with 25k babied miles. I have put roughly $4,500 in tasteful mods. I am probably going to sell it for $30k. Flawless inside and out. Clazzio leather on seats since new.

Yes, that is one of the reason why I thought I'd post. That told me they didn't CPO it because it has an outstanding manufacturers recall on it. I thought that was a bit suspect.

Maybe they can’t CPO it because of the outstanding fuel pump recall?
Ask to take it to an independent shop you trust to check it over.

They should fix that and then CPO it.

Unless it's the outstanding fuel pump recall with no resolution.

If it's a toyota dealer that won't do a manufactures recall and certify it then they are full of more turkey than a thanksgiving day shit.

Maybe not extremely hard miles, but I wouldn't expect anyone to treat it like their own, so I wouldn't buy a used vehicle, fleet, company, rental, parks n recreation, etc etc.

Too much money IMO. I've seen the way people treat their work trucks.

Nope. Too much money, not certified, used and abused with dirty interior.

If you are serious about it have it checked out by a independent shop so you can make a more informed decision.
