If I was using your money, then yes. Otherwise, an Access Cab would never meet my needs. I require enough interior room for the smoking hot trophy wife, toddler grandson / car seat, and a good sized Golden-Doodle.

Nope not for me. Well maybe only if it was a rip snorting good deal. They don't really get better gas mileage. Maybe if it was a work truck due to its more reliable engine... oh hell don't listen to me...:goingcrazy:

Depends on the price. If it's cheap enough I could always resell it.

The “not better gas mileage” has not been my experience. When I drive to the lake in my son’s 2.7L 4cyl 2WD DCSB I get 22.5 - 26 mpg. When I do the exact trip with the exact load in my 3.5L V6 4WD DCLB it burns a lot more fuel (18 - 19 mpg). This is a 300 mile highway trip at 75+mph.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the ultra reliable 2.7L Toyota engine.
If Toyota built it, I would have ordered my 4WD allocation with a V8 engine. Since that option is unfortunately an unattainable dream, I would have been fine with the 2.7L in my new DCLB if that combination was available.

If you don't need to tow, don't care about the extra hp, or need the extra double cab space then sure. I didn't need any of that and it suits me just fine. Does all my home depot runs, plays in the dirt if I can ever find any in NJ, and hauls the family/commutes for me so works perfect.

What aren't you sure about? What will you mainly use it for?

I had an 18 2wd access 2.7 auto. Wasn't to bad, but once I put larger tires on I went to like 14L per 100 I am getting 9 something now on my pro

Your numbers are kind of funny when I covert to MPG your pro is getting 26mpg? What tires did you put on to get 16.8mpg on the 4cyl? I went up 1" and +14lbs per corner and only lost like 1-2mpg.
