    Buy the fronts for cheap if it's what you're looking for (regular or ext. travel), get them rebuilt and valved to your liking.

    I'm thinking he may have amnesia. That or he is leaving out the part that he bought them from somewhere else with a million miles on them. Not saying they are not worthwhile if the price is right, but I'm guessing they are priced like they are 2 years old with 20K. You will probably have about $500 tied up in rebuilding them if you send them back to fox. https://www.ridefox.com/service.php?m=offroad

    also locally. Depending on where you are there is probably a shop that can do it close.

    Depends on price. What are you concerns?

    Fox shocks can be rebuilt many times as long as there are no damaged components. If you can pick them up for a good price, send them out to get rebuilt and run them

    they definitely look older than what he is saying. my concerns that they would need a full rebuild but they dont seem to be leaking. they maybe be overkill for my everyday commuter pavement queen. What you guys think is a fair price as is?

    Standard rebuild is anywhere from $100 - $200 depending on who's doing it. I know a couple local TW guys in my area that do it for about $125. Assuming you just need new bearings, spacers and oil and not replacing other worn parts that might drive up the cost

    I would buy them if the price is right, but I have a hard time believing 20k miles...especially on 2 vehicles over 4 years. I would definitely plan on rebuilding them and only buy them if the price was right.

    Don’t buy them and not get them rebuilt. Those are old. I’m with Ryan on this one.

    @lsukevinc I'm with this guy

    If you're not off-roading, any shock upgrades will be a waste of money.

    It's funny the amount of "complaints" you'll see posted about people spending $2-4k on suspension mods only to feel "slightly" better on road. Off road performance is where upgraded suspension shines.

    Yeah, but I'm sure everything does for you.

    They seem to be in quite good condition from my point of view, albeit maybe needing a quick cleaning.

    I do not... which is my point. Can be pretty subjective. Either way, the price should certainly be less than what it would be if they were closer to new looking.

    Did you look at the hoses? Even in the rust belt, rubber won't dry rot like that in 3-4 years. Those have been ridden hard and for quite some time.

    You could be right. It is hard to tell, but there is no question there is a lot of wear.
