    Hey guys,

Been admiring Avid Offroad's awesome bumper that so many people are purchasing. I really like the design but want something a bit different. It would utilize the exact same mounting but pull the center horizontal long bar up to the top of the bumper and make the top hoop a bit taller to put lights inside. Just wanted to see how many people would be interested so we might could get the ball rolling if Brandon at Avid could work something out. I sent him an email about it. This is the original design. (sorry I copied the pic from the other thread.)

Here is my gimped up version! :D I promise it would look a lot cooler than this!

    Alright, who would buy this??

Link to the thread with the original bumper? Doesn't look like its doing any good for approach angle or ability to add a winch, any protection added?

I wouldnt, personaly, the only reason I would buy one of these, is for it to actully protect some part of the truck when im offroading. That just looks like an expensive light bar.

I would want an entire front bumper to get a better approach angle and add protection.

I like the creativity. The problem I see with it is that it's too big to just be supported by the mounts we use for the original light bar. You'd have to brace it again somewhere around the top of the bumper and the only way to do that would be to cut through the bumper cover. Without additional braces you'd be able to grab the top of it and move it back and forth. You probably be better off just getting a complete bumper that replaces the factory one.

Thanks Brandon. I was thinking the same thing. Let me know if you come up with something other than having to cut holes in the factory bump.

I think shipping something that size would be really expensive. Especailly for me up in Canada. I have to figure out how much shipping will be on that Avid light bar. The pics really sold me

Someone needs to just manufacture a steel/aluminum bumper and we'll be good to go. I'm talking about an OE looking bumper.
