    Seems like the thread should be "How much would you pay to drive..."
    The thread could be "Why would you drive...."

    Sure

    How much would I pay?
    Nothing extra. Even for more MPG, hybrids take 60k or better to pay for themselves... and that's not taking into consideration battery replacement every 5 or so years.

    If Toyota were to convert the entire fleet to 100% hybrid, that would not stop me from buying Toyota.
    But if Toyota offered a Tacoma for $25k, and an identical hybrid Taco for $30k, I'd buy the straight gasser.

    Sure I would buy one. It is a no brainer. All the money I save from buying less gas can go to my much higher monthly payment, since the hybrid version will easily cost $10,000 more. Honestly I think hybrids are a fad. I recently read an article that stated that 3/5 of hybrid owners go back to conventional vehicles when they go to trade in for a new vehicle.

    Same concept as the avalanche but crappy looks of a ridgeline.
