I can think of one or two people that I'd let borrow it, but they wouldn't ask. I'm the only one who drives my Stang though.

I've let my best friend drive my truck a couple times. If he needed it. Sure, why not?

While this is true and I gotta agree with you it's just the way I've felt about since always. I would let someone I care about drive my truck but only in the event of emergencies. If my buddy is going to stop being my friend because of some chick and something I am not allowing for him to borrow he is clearly not a very good friend, know what I mean?

Nothing more attractive than a date who has to borrow a car.

If he was smart, he would meet her there and take his own ride. If he doesn't have the sack to say he only has 1 seat then he won't see her again anyway.

Hell no! Wouldn't lend a car to any friend for anything. That's how friendships go bad.

The only time that anyone else is allowed to drive my vehicle it has to been an emergency. I don't care how big of a pos my car is, but now it's my new Tacoma. A few weeks ago I had a medical emergency and I was admitted into the hospital for few days. I was told it could have been longer(hospital parking is so expensive). I had to get my best friend to come and get my truck. She had only driven a truck once before and it was her Cousins 4 Runner. I was glad it was late in the evening and there wasn't any traffic on the road. My truck made it home safe and sound.

You're only 19. Come back in 10-15 years and see if your opinion has changed, I'm sure it will.

I'm 43 and I agree with SingleCabGuy. Age has nothing to do with it. True friendship is more important than a truck, and my truck is very near and dear to my heart, but not more important than my relationships with true friends.
That being said, I will not let just anyone use my truck, but OP was referring to a good friend.

I would chauffeur them around before letting anyone borrow my truck.
Besides, the people that I call friends have enough class not to ask.

I second this. More for the amount of people who are on vacation with their family and log in to say they can't wait to get home to their vehicle.
