OK OZ... just for you: Are you physically attracted to your father-in-law? If so, does he know? I'm not saying you have to go through with giving him a "ride," but to keep the peace in the family, you may, indeed, have to take one for the team this time buddy... and keep it all in the family. I mean really, it's not like you haven't thought about it. God bless Canada.

    Hope that helps.

    Interesting concept .

Not exactly what I was thinking , BUT , it does make me wonder now what he meant by " gimme a ride "

This is much more complex all of a sudden

Just remember he's your elder... let him guide you. Trust me, you'll really feel like it's a special moment. All these years with that sexual tension lying just beneath the surface at your family events. Ah, the memories.

here's what you're going to do, oz.

Go to the nearest store and buy a printer/scanner

print/scan hundreds of pictures of the nearest container of booze

take all the pictures and fly them off the roof of the tallest nearby building

next, rent a boat and go to a deserted island in the pacific island chain, and dig yourself a 9x15x10 hole.

drop as many squirrels into the hole as you can hunt in a year, then fill the hole with whale blubber

Then, come back to Canadia and let your FIL sit in the backseat.

    mission accomplished.
