This is the best photo I have of the Napa (Brembo) rotor for my Corolla. Looked pretty good to me.

A center casting line is normal. Depending on who the manufacturer is, some separate the casts at the center like these and Centrics, others split the cast on either side of the fins where the two braking surfaces meet the fins. Centric claims the center spit cast helps dissipate heat more evenly.

On the other hand, what do the "best" versions from the major auto parts stores look like? AutoZone Duralast etc? If a local store has a set and they look better ... hell, take 'em and return the eBay ones.

If I decide to keep them they offered a partial refund, so there's that route.

The other route is to have them replace the one rotor that has the pitting, since they said all of their rotors have that cooling vent casting mis-alignment in the same spot.

The other option is to send them both back and try another Toyota dealership, but I may find that their OEM rotors have that same cooling fin casting issue.

Call if any have it in stock and ask to see it if they can't describe it.

You could spend the time and energy to see if this is common, but the effort is futile. I say this as most agree on here that this is not normal, though does not make the rotor unusable. As well no dealership is going to exchange a rotor unless you provide a receipt of purchase, at least not above the board. I just think youre going to fustrate yourself by pursuing this outside of eBay and the seller. See if you can use eBay protection, either to get return shipping covered, or get a near total refund while keeping the rotor. If its free, just use it. If they claim that all the rotors they stock are like that, then its clear that they bought a stock of 2nd grade rotors from a distributor and are discounting them on eBay, hence the price that enticed you to buy them.

It seems a bunch of Rotors were made with a mold that was a little messed up

Neither of those issues should cause any problems in use
