A family member mentioned this to me and as I looked into it a little more it seems to be legit. As someone who donated to Wounded Warriors it was more than a little heart breaking. Since there was a discussion about who we donate to a while ago I thought I would mention this. If this has already been discussed someplace I apologize.

Beyond this, google "Wounded Warriors project a legal scam" and it will turn up a lot more. The worst part is that If you send money to them directly it seems like it does some good, otherwise everybody's hands are in the cookie jar. I live just outside NYC and we had a lot of this right after 9-11 where people were donating only to find that 10% went to firefighter families.
