That's what it cost me. Sales tax, plus county tax, plus keeping it current till may of 2012. I'm sure glad I saved about $6k-7k by going over to Florida instead of buying here in Bama, taxes are ridiculous!

i'm looking to buy new out of state so if i pay around $30,000, i'm looking at $2,850 ($30K @ 9.5%) in tax when i register in Washington. kind of a deal-breaker, or at least a deal-slowerer.

I paid 2 G's in sales tax on my new truck. Plus I'm looking at a $700 bill in December for property tax. Merry X-mas to me.

the reason it was so high is because you went over to florida probably. i registered my truck in bama in may and it was only 4hundred and some change.

@polymerhead. $700 in property taxes? Try paying $11,000 in annual property taxes on your primary residence. That's in CA after paying way too much for the house in the first place.

i think he was talking about his property tax on his car not his house. i live in CT its not unheard of here for property tax on homes to be 10-15k. i pay 8k on a 1500 sq ft house on .5 acre lot, and i pay 6k a year for a crappy duplex on a postage stamp lot in a ghetto. its ridiculous, ill be moving out of state to retire in 40 years, lol

@sean... Makes sense. Thought that was a bit low to be complaining.
