I'm a huge Toyota fan. This is my fifth one but I m marking my spot more the an old Harley..... I have oil every where under the hood... I've been searching the archives here and i m thinking it s the timing plate gasket.... Just wondering what steps you would take on this project????
    Thanks for looking......

With a mess like that, I'd clean/degrease the engine to the point I could eat off it. and then run the engine while looking for a wet spot to begin.

Use degreaser, brake cleaner. Its really hard to spot anything if its not cleaned up. No point in coming to the forums to ask us where the leak is on you truck because even for us its hard to tell. Just clean it up and let the engine run, make sure you top off the oil, and look around. Also check power steering pump.

Although some do, I strongly suggest you don't. Use a quality degreaser and just follow the directions on the bottle. It really quite simple. Since that looks really wet and not caked on, it should clean up fairly easy.

If you use high pressure, you could get water forced into places it's not meant to be and make things worse. Also, if you've got an older truck, the plastic connectors can get brittle and you could break them off by blowing em off with high pressure water.

It's normal for short distance/cold driving.
