all this happens because sane people realize they would be waisting their time to run for a public office, so only IDIOTS run for office. thus, you're stuck voting for dumb or dumber; dumb always wins.

Sadly, this nonsense isn't limited to just California. In Washington state (Tacoma, Seattle, etc), for example, the rules are so strict in some parks (large signs with seemingly endless rules, leaving one to wonder what you can do), the parks themselves are virtually empty. To be honest, the land would be better utilized for ever more shopping malls or similar.

A friend was cited at one park for throwing a frisbee to his unleashed dog (two violations). We thought that insane considering, beyond ourselves (two couples), there were only two other people in the entire park, those two way on the other side of park (too far away to even see clearly). Regardless, the cop seriously acted like we were an actual threat to the public.

trees can make sticks that are sharp and are potential weapons.

furthermore, wooden baseball bats are the cause of several hundred murders each year.

therefore, california will soon be banning trees. Along with golf, and any hard objects.

Anything not a hard will be confiscatable, and you will be fined 17 dollars for each hard object you own.

They've been trying to do this for years, hopefully one day it will happen.

As for this law it really shouldn't be a surprise. You go to the beach with your family so your children can enjoy themselves. While there a bunch of drunk assholes are playing football, one throws a little off and some 220 pound guy lands on your 50 pound child and breaks their back. Your child is now hurt for life because of someone else's carelessness. This is an unfortunate common occurrence at LA beaches.

It seems like every day I hear more and more bullshit like this going on in California. I swear it's one big scam to make scare off people thinking about moving there.
