Brushed Gray Aluminum wrap, complete! This is my second wrap, the first being the Matte White wrap from almost 2 years ago. (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/241083-matte-white-vinyl-wrap.html). If any of you have seen the first wrap, let me know which one you like better.

These wraps are very different, this wrap has a different look with a lot of changes on the tacoma itself. Since the last wrap i have gone with the mid travel fox setup, a pre runner bumper (thanks @jeffz0rz), some plastidiped wheels and the removal of the fender flares, and some various black accents along the way.

i ended up buying a cheaper brand vinyl because the 3m cost was much more than a normal color, but that was a big mistake! buy the good stuff, it will go on so much easier!! this gave me trouble from the start.

as i just mentioned, I did away with the flares and i wrapped right over the holes on the fenders. the wrap hides the holes perfectly, and it gives the body a little more stance with the mid travel.

enough talk.. heres the pics (more or less a start to finish timeline)

The blue behind the bumper was fixed up with a little gray plastidip that matches the wrap pretty well

Yeah this looks great. I think white is also a good choice from what I have seen but I would definitely rock the flat silver. How much money? Time? Should someone attempt this? I'm very detail oriented when it comes to vinyl stickers and I imagine this taking me a long time to do the finishing work.

Looks good, I'd like to do Krytek Typhon one day but I don't think I would have the patience.

I'm the same way man. I spent 450 on the wrap (i bought 45 feet, but i didn't wrap fender flares, roof, or front bumper). It'll take a solid 3 to 4 days of wrapping time. Keep in mind a lot of tear down is needed, not hard necessarily just time consuming (Handles, mirrors, plastic trim, ect..). If you have the time and patience i think its very attemptable and doable. Definitely more patience than skill is needed
