Wrapping fender flares to match new pro design

So I recently bought a 3rd gen after selling my 2nd gen. I was looking at a new pro tundra on the lot and really liked the fender flare design. My question for everyone is does anyone know if this pattern is available in vinyl? Or has anyone tried to match it yet. I think it would look slick on the 3rd gen tacos. Picture for reference of the tundra flares.

 

Did you ever get any answers on this? I’m thinking about doing something similar as my flares are all chipped and gouged…

Wanted to wake this thread up. i want to ... or at least try to wrap my 1st Gen. flares. i am painting the truck so i have them off right now. i like the style of the Tundra flares up in post #1 and i took a look at what NomadicCypress mentioned on Amazon(see link below). mmmmm... not to sure on the closeness of the pattern tho.. the tundra has that squareish military camouflaged pattern and the shadow has a "swirl" style, but if thats as close as they get then, might have to pull the trigger on that. Has anyone followed up on wrapping their flares since this last post in 10/22? Also i had seen some people mention the plastic dip way also, how did that turn out? Pics?

I dunno. If you look closely at the pattern on Amazon, it looks like a bunch of roses to me.

 

Yea…. A swirl flower/rose i guess… i kinda like that square pattern. Also since the flares have that large curve in them, is it better to get a 1 x 5 ft roll and cut it curved or could a long strip and heat it up to make the curve be better?

 

It looks like the original stuff on the Tundra is textured as well. Not sure that you can get that but would be cool if you could.

 

I saw a picture of a truck done somewhere with a carbon fiber looking ramp. I’ll see if I can find that again

i took a second look at the design and i didnt see anything...... then..... i stared and focused right in the center!.... and holy crap! ur right

i was going to get 6 of the 1 x 5 ft rolls @ 9.99 ea, but i went and ordered 3 of the 3 x 5 ft rolls @ $20 ea... same price but got more SF.

 

is the pattern flowers or paisley or what?

 

mmmm... i guess its anybody's call on what that that shadow is, but yea, i got the ghost metal

 

It is pretty cool. I saw one in person too. Pretty sharp but my first thought was I wonder how it cleans after getting full of dirt. Will it need to be clean with a tooth brush or something to get all the cracks.

 

I also did see a tundra the other day, it was right in front of me and thats when i saw the flares, i also saw the tailgate molding cap on the tundra with the 3 red lights... it was black plastic and had a strip of that carbon fiber that they used on the flares, going across the bottom section of the tailgate cap. it was pretty neat! not an overwhelming use of carbon fiber. when i ordered that ghost metal wrap from Amazon i also ordered a tailgate cap for a chevy(see below)... i'll do a little trimming to make it fit, install some lights and put a strip of that ghost metal on that

Think I’m going to give this a shot in black camo wrap that I have left over from my dash. Still don’t se anyone running around that have tried this. I’ll post pictures when I’m done.
