Hi all! I've decided to wrap the taco. Super excited about it, as I am going with a matte green almost the same color as the original truck.

My thoughts about the wrap are it will make the truck stand out among all of the other tacos running around. Just debating how much work I want work I want to do with the grill, wheels and flares.

    Any suggestions?IMG_5620.jpgIMG_5626.jpg

Not trying to make that big of a statement with the wrap. Any suggestions on the grille or flares?

Personally, whatever color you choose, I would keep it uniform to the flares. I wouldn't wrap the grill. I'd leave it as is or just follow the sheep and do a heritage grill if you want a change. But that is just my opinion. and X2 on wanting to know what this is going to cost.

If you do the wrap yourself it'll only cost the price of the roll. I did mine for about $350. I've changed the grill to a raptor style since these pics were taken.

I've been toying w/ the idea of wrapping too since my truck is now at the point of patina. Part of me wants to leave it and let father time work his magic. Other times, I'm like...I should wrap this and give it the appearance of a fresh start. Anyway.

When you ask about the grill and flares, are you asking about doing them in black? leaving as-is? matching?
My instinct is that you match the fender flares w/ the color of the truck or do them black.
Front grill should be color matched too, imo. Otherwise, leave it chrome if you like that look.

Hey Chris. The fake chrome is peeling on the grille and the wrap will not stick to it. So I’m looking for an aftermarket replacement. In reading the responses, I didn’t realize I hadn’t explained what I meant.

Therefore, I am looking for different flares, grille, and wheels.

I can tell you first hand that peeling off that chrome is time consuming. I wouldn't suggest it. So if the wrap won't stick to the chrome, maybe find a painted or primed one that the wrap will stick to.

    Fenders I'd leave stock.

Wheels are always worth upgrading but if the tires are still good, maybe hold off unless you want to try selling. I personally like Work wheels and F5's look good too imo.
