Anyone wrap their truck and happy with it? Or does it turn out to be more cons than pros? Been wanting to wrap mine a cement or nardo gray color

Probably cost you less to paint it plus it won't crack or peel down the road. Peeling and old wrap off is a nightmare. I don't care what the shop says that's trying too sell you one, like "oh, it's a piece of cake to peel it off".
NOT! I do a lot of boat and truck graphics but no wraps. PIA

Wouldnt a proper paint job end up costing like 5-8k or so?

A proper paint job will way outlast a sticker job. No wrinkles or puckers either. Just go around and look at "FULL" wrapped business trucks that are getting old. Cracking? Buy a new truck.
A partial wrap like critter might be a better route. Way easier to get off when it does start to deteriorate.

One of these days, when I have a spare five grand, I'm going to wrap it, and it's going to be awesome.

I’m in Alaska so prices are much higher than the real world, but the difference in quotes between a full wrap and paint was a couple $K with the cheapest wrap being over $5k. Was initially pricing wraps because I assumed they would be more reasonably priced due to the short lifespan. Ultimately decided both were too much for a cosmetic change.
One will last a handful of years and the other is permanent. Seems like a no brainer to me.

If it’s good vinyl it’ll last some time. I’ve never done it but have friends who have they are like 3 years and it still looks good. Have no clue what it costs.
