Long story short my 2011 was wrecked into a fence by a family member who survived unscathed. Over half the truck has serious barbed wire scratches, the bumper is bashed in pretty hard, and the hood has 2 creases in one of the corners.

My goal is to repair and upgrade at the same time, the upgrades I want are as follows.

-Off-road bumper (Already purchased AllPro Apex in town used for $750)

-Hood scoop hood (no idea where to find one for a reasonable price)

-Black grill I like the sport style like this but if there's a cheaper option I'm all game. (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Tac...le-Genuine-OEM-OE/284042911364?epid=656338327

I'm looking to find the best/cheapest way to get a hood scoop hood and black grill paid for by the insurance or with as little input from my own pocket as possible.

I think the insurance is cutting me kinda short on some of the repairs, here is the estimate they sent me. Mostly the fact they think the plastic bumper can be unpretzeled and painted to perfection. Also, the hood has 2 creases on one corner that I don't believe can be fixed with Bondo.

Hood must not be that bad if its only got a 2hr repair on it. either that or their estimator is a tool

I'll have to get new pictures tonight I don't have any on my phone. I think they just don't look hard at the photos to realize the scratches are to the metal and that the corner is creased in the corner. I wasn't sure the headlights would be salvageable either the scratches are crazy deep.

Actually thinking about it the factory chrome grill isn't broken just has the chrome scratched and pealing. Might have them paint it instead of buying a new one. Since a hood only costs $207 to paint I doubt a grill will cost more than $171 to paint.

Heres picture of the hood, I'm not a body work guy but those 2 creases look pretty bad especially being right on the edge. Going to call my insurance lady tomorrow and rough her up see if she can raise the estimate some. 20201018_185845.jpg 20201018_185843.jpg

I'd have them give you the $3000 and get a new front plate bumper, grill and possibly the hood you want. Not sure how much to paint, though.

Some people hate them, but I’d snag one of the faux pro grilles if you’re spending that sort of cash on an OEM part. They usually go for around $200.

This would be the perfect situation for a 2012-up facelift.

They aren't bad but I like the paint matched black grill better. I'll see how much it cost to paint this chrome one since it's not broken just scratched.

Maybe I'm weird I actually prefer the early 2nd gen front end better.

I have been looking at my LKQ but they haven't had any sport hoods or black grills that haven't been in a front end collision. I feel like LKQ knows toyota parts are gold and lists most of them on ebay or else where.

Really the only thing I need to find now is a decently priced sport hood. Anyone know of the best place to order one from?

AllPro bumper already snagged, even came with a fresh coat of rattle can satin black.
