I snagged this truck at an insurance auction, and am curious if the previous owner(s) are on here. I haven't pulled a carfax, but from what I can tell I'm the 3rd owner. It was bought new in Jacksonville FL, and at some point sold to someone in Georgia. It's fairly smashed, but I'm in the process of resurrecting it, and hopefully making it a lot more awesome in the process.

    Wow.

I buy and repair wrecked Toyota trucks as well. I don't think I've done one that was smashed that bad.

I would love to see more pics and see the rebuild. bringing shit back to life that someone else has wrote off is one of my hobbies.

    I'm in

The damage is perfectly centered. Both quarter panels are untouched. It did pull everything toward the center though since the radiator support got pushed in so far.

From that perspective, it looks much more straight forward. New core support and good to go. Have fun with all those spot welds. My last one was pissing me off pretty good.

That is what happens when you hit a power pole. You won't know the extent of the damage until start pulling stuff off.

You're right about more damage than meets the eye. Here's how she sits now, and there was damage to the front of the engine and a bit of damage to the front crossmember that I didn't anticipate.

I would give anything for those wheels, roof rack is nice too. Still curious as to what happened to it.

Looks like a light/utility pole. The damage is too centered and limited to be a collision with a car.

Nice, I like taking things people no longer want and try to bring them back to a decent working condition. Hopefully the frame isn't too tweaked

Oh yeah I figured that, I meant what happened to it as in him 'resurrecting' it, this thread was originally from April. Thats really an ideal front end wreck assuming the engine is mostly ok.
