At least the DA thanked toyota for keeping his family/friends safe considering he failed to do that himself. Isn't that wreckless endangerment??

Will they cover it all if its used on non-public roads? I know my motorcycles aren't i.e. track days. If you rolled your truck at Moab would it be covered? I would think not. On some forest road? I would think so. I am sure someone here knows the answer to this.

Either way, glad nobody was hurt but........

I was about to ask the same thing...

Also this is expected really, I mean the commercials made it look like young kids could go out and do donuts! This is exactly what they advertised the truck to do and it flipped!?

I always knew 3rd was a fail..

Depends upon the overall cost. IIRC there is a case with a Veyron where the car was completely wrecked and they sent a burnt engine block back to the factory 'for repair', because it was cheaper to 'repair' it than to replace the car with a new one.

    The better coast

Like if someone had significant body damage on the first day of ownership but engine/frame were intact.

    Wow and wow.
There's a reason you shouldn't text and drive
    Let alone snapchat and drive.

That person obviously didn't see the AT&T commercial.

I looked at his insta and he hadn't even had it a week.

^ This. Have a friend who was driving her Acura MDX on the freeway when traffic stopped and got rear ended by a kid going full speed. Was shoved into the center divide too. Cop couldn't believe she survived. Acura was less than one year old. Front end smashed in and rear smashed in to the 2nd row seats (suicide seats...uhh 3rd row no longer existed). Insurance wouldn't total it. They were in a rental for months. It was repaired at a cost of $40K because value of it when purchased was over $50K. She learned that the more expensive the vehicle, the less chance you have of it being totaled.

Wait, this is a good question. Does anyone know the answer? I track my current car and was under the impression that if I slammed it into the wall I would be covered by insurance... Probably need to give my agent a call.

I looked at the guys Instagram and this was inevitable. Happened to say he almost rolled his previous Toyota Truck (whatever you call a pre-Tacoma Toyota truck).

Hate when insurance does this. I was hit in my taco about a year and a half ago. Van that plowed into me destroyed front left fender and inner well, bent frame, destroyed all in engine bay except engine, destroyed rim, etc. Price valued: 15k. Price for rebuild and new parts: 12k. Insurance wouldn't total because it needed to be 85% of value. So I now, after they had "fixed" everything, drive around a taco with a squeaky door, a brand new bumper that was never installed correctly and huge gaps everywhere; the tail lights are off, right bedside and tailgate have a 1/2in gap. Im not angry at the truck, just pissed at the crash and the poor work that was done to fix it. Also they replaced one headlight, so I have one that's nice and shiny and one thats clouded. Friends call it the "Fetty Wap Truck"

No it's not has to to be over 85% damage and that doesn't look like it imo
