Well I got T-Boned yesterday, it wasn't a huge impact (maybe 10MPH) but it looks to be in a bad spot. Not sure how they repair the cab since they can't just swap panels. I have to schedule an appointment with the insurance adjuster to start the repair process. Thought it might be worth seeing if any of you guys with experience have any suggestions/thoughts on items I need to watch out for and/or make sure get repaired.

    Thanks!

I'd say they would total it with that much cab damage. My buddy is a Paintless Dent Repair guy and he wouldn't touch that. I'd be surprised if they replace the cab..

I very highly doubt they total that.

They will probably pull out dent best they can and fill rest. Or cut and weld in patch.

Blue Book is too high and I don't think there is any frame damage so I doubt it would be totaled. I just want to make sure I get it repaired correctly at this point.

I have that awful white paint that has the thin areas all over it (started at 3 years and the dealership said too bad), wonder if there is anyway I can get it all painted to match?

If the frame is bent, it's prob totaled. If not, they will just pull out what they can and fill it in. I think a tree has done more damage to my truck than that actually :anonymous: good luck op

Find a good collision repair center that has good ratings and excellent customer reviews. No big deal for a place that has the proper tools and technicians, I'm guessing 7- 10 grand to fix right and well. At this point you can paint it any color you want to.

Looks about the same, hope you get it repaired without any issues!

Thanks for the DV Claim reminder, I hadn't thought about that yet. I left my insurance agent (he's a friend) a message to walk me through the process in my state. Truck was pristine and only has 70K, this is the first damage of any sort, so that will be worth pursuing.

    some good guys in Pineville..

I got ALOT of quotes and fought the insurance company for every penny, do your research find out what it cost and go from there.
I found out that 3r3 Barcelona red is an expensive paint that the insurance company was un aware of.

I finally settled on Reflections in Belmont to do my work, on the recommendation of a guy that works for PPG paints..

I saw the 2015 in your info and cringed for you. Did you make out OK on the Diminished Value claim as well? Never mind, I see that you are still in the process with that...

the dv claim is in process, i hired a dv apprasier that provided a extensive detailed report with DV of 12K that i submitted. The insurance company opted to have another dv appraiser come out (today actually). Insurance company will then compare the two reports and go from there. I speculate will be somewhere between 6 and 9K is what they may offer me.

Secondary air filter removal, K&N drop in, Removed front mud flaps, Toyota all weather matts, skid plate, bug guard. Bilstein 5100's all around fronts set at 2.5", OME add a leaf, Goodyear Wrangler Authority 265/70/17, stubby 6.5" antenna, smoked tail lights, blacked out badges.
Frame is the big one. If it's all over the place then they probably will total.

Yeah man. That sucks!! I had to go to 2 different shops. 1st shop did a terrible job so i took it back so they could fix their mistakes, bad idea... they did a worse job the 2nd time around. So now im working with a 2nd shop to get everything back to par.

You will have to get a new door shell. The glass and window motor are still good probably, as well as the speaker. You will need a new cab vent as its on that side, and make sure you get a new finder flare. Not sure what else, but make sure you look for new door seals and any over spray from paint.
