Watching them trying to navigate the intersection was painful for me.

Nope. Tow truck was blocking the inside lane. Notice no traffic on the inside lane going from right to left of the video. Then when the cop blocks the intersection, the tow truck moves forward to hook.

So did someone get hauled away in teh ambulance? The tree branch was blocking the view...need to talk to your maintenance people about that. Love that they use the fire truck as a blockade too!
No one up here knows what to do at a 4 way stop either...or an intersection without a stop sign (same rules as a 4 way)...or in a "right on red" situation...

Yeah, I need to do some selective pruning. :D

I do believe that the driver of the SUV was taken away in the ambulance. She was hit pretty good.

These people obviously have an issue stopping at a red light so a 4way is like brain surgery to them.

I've had to repair dozens of those.
Big mast arm pole in front of Warner Bro's, 10ft pole with 3 signal heads on it in front of NBC, ped pushbutton poles....
The 10 footers are the most common since most cars can snap the anchor bolts at a fairly low speed.
A 30ft pole with a 35ft mast arm takes some serious force to knock down... but a drunk driver in a Mustang can put a major dent in one and wipe out the controller cabinet.

And yes, knocking down a pole MAY put the intersection into 4-way flash for a couple of reasons...
Most commonly, a wire shorts to ground and blows the switchpack breaker. If it's just a ped head, then we get red flash. If it's a vehicle head and the red is the one that shorted, then it blows the flasher breaker too and we black out.
If the indication is ripped off of the wire but it doesn't short out, then it MAY go to flash.... if that is the only indication on that movement, or one of only two, then the load may not be enough to shut the switchpack off and the conflict monitor will "think" that conflicting greens are displayed and throw it into 4-way flash.
But if there is enough load to pull the switchpack down to below 18vac, then the intersection will continue to run without the indication.

yeah i’d imagine a car or truck could break the bolts going into the ground some what easy one some poles.

i know officers that have worked wrecked where a truck broke a telephone pole into 3 pieces(part was in the ground, part was stuck to the truck and part was hanging from the wires) and still went about 30 feet into some trees.

250 views as of this morning. Youtube won't cut me a check until my account balance hits $100.

That's only about 9,999 more pennies. Doable.

 so take that 9,999 more and multiply it times the 250 views I got yesterday, that gives us a total of 2,500,00 views before I get paid.

I believe that viewing it on TW still counts towards a view. Clicking on the ads helps more than just watching the video though. I had to agree to not click on the ads myself. :D

Watching that video it doesn't even look like the car that hit the other one even slowed down. Probably texting and not paying ANY attention would be my guess.

i noticed that the 2nd time i watched it. and it ran the light by a long shot, other traffic started moving before you even saw the car come from under the bridge.

Yup, no diversionary tactics whatsoever. One second they're looking down at their phone and the BAM!

I had a head on collision where I was caught off guard, but I had the green light. Entered the intersection with a green light, looked down at the radio, and then BAM! The girl in her grandmothers caddy turned left in front of me on an unprotected green.
