I recently purchased an oem clutch for my 2006 Toyota Tacoma
    4 cylinder 2.7 manual
I’ve been having problems when I push my clutch pedal down to release the clutch disc. It’s actually engaging lightly.
I figured this is either a mechanical failure or I installed the wrong clutch. I went back to check out my order and I noticed it said pre runner, does anyone know if the clutch specs are different for the pre runner 2.7 liter???? Please help

Have you made sure there is 5-15mm of free play in the pedal before it starts engaging the pushrod on the clutch master cylinder? this is where i'd start. Clutch is the same between prerunner and 4wd

Ok but mine is not a prerunner. The clutch I bought was for a prerunner and I failed to notice that.
    I have a a five lug little two door, 2.7 4cylinder

No issues running that setup. The clutches are the same for the 5 lug trucks as well as the prerunner/4wd

Dirty fluid in clutch master cylinder can cause this.

When I did a clutch job, mine would not dis-engage with the pedal to the floor.
had to adjust the free play, push rod AND the fluid at the slave cylinder was N A S T Y!!!
took a few drives adjusting the rod but I got it where I wanted it.
