Hit up Ocean Beach (OB) and try Hodad's for burgers or South Beach for fish tacos. Welcome to the west. Yeah, some of our laws suck and cost of living is through the roof but damn, SD is nice city.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Have fun, Brian. We'll miss you in GW National Forest this weekend!

Hit up Mission Brewery. They got a hard root beer that they'll serve as a root beer float and a damn good double IPA (Shipwrecked).

Welcome to the land of fruits and nuts! Enjoy SD! Best part of CA outside of the redwoods. J-Tree is pretty neat. I camp/climb out there a lot. The town is interesting (not in the good way), but most desert towns are. What are your plans?

How do you guys get any work done? I would be biking or wheeling all the time here.

I lived on OB when I lived in SD back in the 70's. I still sport the OB Seagull sticker on my vehicles...when I left in 81, I bought ten stickers. I just used the last one I had on my Taco I bought in August. I need to go online and grab some more from The Black (hopefully they still sell them). I loved California but hated the politics so I moved back to my home state of NH when I got out of the service. Live Free or Die, baby!

November and shorts is an odd concept as well, I miss New England winters.

I was born and raised on the East coast. I would never, ever move back to RI from CA. The fucking weatherman here could say "sunny and warm" every day for the rest of his life and he'd be right 90% of the time. I fish La Jolla and Point Loma a lot.

Only way I move back east is to go to Florida. I need ocean fishing... I've been eyeing real estate in Jax.
