    Well this is a fun debate.

    I suspect the specs are loose in Mexico because 0W20 isnt the most commonly found oil there.

    However, I can walk two blocks and find it at four stores within that distance, not including same-day-delivery online orders, so why not use the manual's top recommendation?

    I think we can pretty much stop even discussing his oil choice. He has a supercharger he didn't even disclose in the post, who knows what else isn't being told. I'm sure there's way more to the story than "dad threw in thiccc motor oil and the engine grenaded a year later for no reason at all."

    He already said the head gasket failure is what happened, and oil doesn't cause that. And now, mysteriously, he's no longer commenting.
