Hi all! So I decided to add the radio steering wheel controls to my truck I changed the airbag cover and then the clock spring. I ordered the controls from china. Here is my problem... The controls for the radio do not match the clock spring I installed. The radio controls have 6 pins across while the clock spring has 5 across. Which one is wrong!? Lolol. Thanks for helping as always!

Call me a fool, but I'd suggest the Chinese parts are probably wrong. Don't worry though. They probably won't work anyway.

the clock spring was from ebay... cheap Chinese stuff as well. I can say that i haven't had any issues with the clock spring yet, But since neither piece is official OEM, i need to figure out which one needs to be replaced...

I didn't want to sound contrite, but working at a dealership, I've become a huge fan of OEM parts. There is a difference.

Does the plug from steering wheel controls fit the clock spring, if it fits it will work. I did mine last week, never had swc before. Check out my posts.

Thats cool cool! i generally agree with what you say, but the price was just way to much to justify doing what i tried with oem parts. the clock spring was like 200 bucks or something like that.... this was much cheaper, it was worth trying it.. but im not getting airbag errors which is the major concern for the clock spring... I just need to know which piece is wrong here... the 5pin clock spring or the 6pin audio control....... one of em has got be right!... lolol

yeah, that’s the same plug that goes into the clockspring...I had to get the newer controls cause the other end that plugs into the controls are the same ones on the Corolla wheel.
