My wheels and tires arrived today (New Orleans area) but the rims are not what I ordered so I will not be accepting them.

Today is Memorial Day so I will address this with Performance Plus Tire tomorrow, but I am preempting their solution to see if anyone wants to make a local offer rather than shipping them back. I would guess they would accept a local sale at their cost, not the retail price, but fire away with an offer. Just trying to facilitate this screw up and get my correct order here asap.

The order is correct except I ordered black and machined aluminum, not all black wheels and that is a deal breaker for me. Great setup, just pissed I want the aluminum and black. I absolutely decided against all black rims.

This was for my 2006 Tacoma TRD Sport. Tires are Cooper Discoverer AT/3 4S 265/65/17R with Ultra Wheels Mongoose (all black) 17x9 offset +1mm backspace 5". Also with TPMS installed and I believe nitrogen filled I will have to verify that. Mounted and balanced with lugnuts.

Also, only three of the tires arrived so the FEDEX driver said he will go check and the fourth is likely at the hub, and I should see it today or tomorrow. I can share the invoice with any serious buyer.

The product image is what I ordered, not what arrived, obviously.

Very unlikely they are going to allow you to sell them for less than retail, you'd be surprised how little big retail companies pay for shipping costs.

I'd be surprised if you have any options other then keep them at the invoiced price you already paid or ship all 4 back and wait for the correct items.

No I will not be accepting an incorrect order. Its not their call. I am just seeing if anyone wants to make them an offer locally, since they are already here.

Then when fedex shows back up, hand them back, save your driver an additional trip.

You are in San Diego, not Louisiana. I was asking if anyone locally wanted to make an offer to them.

I was just trying to offer some advice, TW rules don't allow you to sell items that aren't ready for pickup and you only have 3 of 4 wheels. Also, I'm pretty sure the rules say you can't sell things that don't belong to you.

My credit card says I paid for these so I own them. I am sure the vendor will make it right, just offering to someone local as a possible win win solution. Go back to your San Diego forum.

Lmfao... A lot of assumptions going on here.

How do you know it was even the shop's mistake? Maybe the warehouse made a mistake and shipped the wrong ones, in which case the frieght would be backcharged to them.

Maybe the shop can keep the wrong wheels in their inventory, and sell them as stock on hand.

You're trying to offer to sell wheels at a "discounted" price, "because of a mistake" that don't even belong to you.

Your option is to tell the shop they are the wrong wheels and wait for the right wheels to arrive... you have no options, reguarding the wheels you don't like. Not even the ability to make a suggestion on what they should do with them.

Of course the mistake could have happened anywhere along the way and I am sure they will make it right. I am just seeing if anyone locally might want them and I can mention that to them as a possible solution for them, rather than them having to take them all the way back to their warehouse.

There ya' go. You can update your profile. What part of FL? But the point is, I am sure the company will fix it, just seeing if anyone locally might want to offer them a price to avoid shipping them back. That's all.

You're offering to sell wheels that don't belong to you, at a discounted price.

You have one option... go tell them you don't like the wheels, and wait for the new ones to arrive.

You have absolutely no say so what so ever in the wheels you say are the wrong ones. Trying to get someone else involved in this situation doesn't do anyone any favors.

Leave the other ("wrong") set of wheels alone. They don't belong to you.

Why would I update my profile when I'm on a work trip?

And again, they are not paying retail shipping rates, it will cost them pennies on the dollar to send them back to a warehouse in Houston or Memphis and wait for the next person to buy them.

You obviously don't know how consumer affairs work. They already charged me. The point they charged my cc was the moment I owned them, and I am sure the company will rectify, and if not, Amex has me covered. I am not selling, I am asking if someone locally might want, and that could be a good solution for the vendor. Or when Fedex shows up with the fourth wheel, after the holiday, I can have them take them away. I have options and that is between me and the vendor. This talk of no options is silly. The company had good customer service on the sales end and I assume they will again, but I am not worried about that. Simply offering to see if someone local is interested and I can mention that to them.

You are right about that. I had to ship a camera from FL to Sony on the West Coast for repair. On my personal Fedex account it was $180 for overnight. On my Sony rep's account, it was $18.00. I just have trouble imagining how cheap it would be to ship all these back, but based on that, maybe it is.

Also, how would Fedex handle the one I opened up? Would they wrap it?

Oh my god dude... seriously? You're telling me, what I do and don't know about "consumer affairs?"

Ok, so at the point they charged your CC "you owned" the wheels? That's your story? Ok then according to you, you can take the WRONG wheels, and deal with it... that's what you're saying.

If "you own" that wrong set of wheels, then it's simple. Forget about the right wheels and move on. You don't get to "own" both sets of wheels. You get to either "own" the right set (after they fix this) or the wrong set... not both.

Is this the first thing you've ever purchased?

lmfao... this guy says I don't know anything about "consumer affairs" That's rich!
