First post here, but have been lurking for a while. Looking for a 2nd gen DC short bed 4x4 (and resisted the urge to hijack anyone else's thread looking for the exact same thing).
TRD OR package preferred, but I'd consider Sport too. Don't really need the diff and don't like the scoop, but want the seats.
I've got about $20k to spend and anything west of the Mississippi (I'm in Utah) would be a possibility.
And if you happened to want a partial trade for a 2006 VW GTI, all the better!

Appreciate the heads-up, TRDFAN. That's a sick truck, but a bit more modded (and further away) than I'd like.

A dealership about an hour away had a great deal on a 2008 base DC 4x4, so I talked to the guy this morning, set an appointment for early afternoon and drove an hour -- making sure I was right on time, as he requested.
Naturally, when I got there he told me the truck sold in the morning. "But since you're here, you wanna check out a 2010 Ram?" At nearly twice the price, no thanks.
    Anyway, still searching...

Mines a 6 speed. I've been thinking about moving on to something else.

I can't decide if I want to sell mine or not. I have been going back and forth on maybe getting a long bed 4x4 sport.

The TRD OR Short bed 4x4's seem to be a hot item and that's what I have now...............hmmmm.

I miss Utah! I was stationed at Hill from 99-05. I would love to sell you my truck and make a road trip out there.

I would've kicked him in the ball sack. He asked you to be on time, then sold it out from under you. Never support that dealership again.

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed. In the long run, it might be for the best. The deal bordered on too-good-to-be-true (a 2008 base DC 4x4 w/ 28k miles for $18.5k), but it's certainly a bummer. I'm really fond of the silver w/ black fender look of the base models.
Bottom line, I won't be giving those guys a dime so they lose out in the end.

Big thanks to everyone who's responded w/ info about a truck. All were close, none were quite right. Test drive an access cab the other day and think I'd be open to one of those at the right price, too. It's amazing how much more space they have than my old '01 Ford Ranger.
