Moving to the island TOMORROW 6/16, looking for a 1st gen, prefer Double Cab, will take an Ext Cab, 2wd or 4wd, AUTOMATIC, under 150K if possible.

I don't mind putting a little work into it for the right price, by the way the right price for me is under $7K. While difficult to find I know it's not impossible.

I'd prefer 4x4 or a prerunner, I like the higher stance better. Take a look under some rocks, check your neighbors driveway, if you know of one sitting for sale that might fit my criteria let me know! This will be my first Tacoma, owned Wranglers for years, but time to change up a little.

Pelfreybilt Bumper & IFS+Mid skid, Warn Zeon 10-S, BAMF Sliders & LCA/Diff Skids, DTRL toggle on/off, FJ OEM Fog/Aux Light switches, 2012 lower center console swap, wired in auto-dimming rear view mirror, Wet-Okole inside, Weathertech Liners & Vent Visors, Rigid Duallys fogs, 35%/5% front/rear tint, Roto-Pax, Bestop SuperTop, OME 90000/886 Front, OME Dakars+AAL/extended 5100 Rears, Extended SS brake lines, TRD TX Pro/Baja Graphite 16" Rims
Hate to rain on your parade, but finding a 1st gen within that budget will be hard here.

The local Toyota market is inflated a bit from what KBB lists. They do show up from time to time, but i'm guessing the ones for sale currently are in the $12k range.

I totally believe your skepticism, I've been looking, found a couple but with only 9 days on Craigslist, they were gone! I'm going to jump on something when I find it. I may have to go for a 4 runner though, but I'd rather have a Tacoma.

A guy at work paid around 12k for a 2004 base model 2wd with 60k miles...it was very clean, but still not worth it imo.

Cold air, Sounds, lift, lights, exhaust and a canoe!
I'd be surprised if you get a clean stock 1st gen for under 13! If you plan on lifting it you might as well save your self some time and buy one already lifted and one that has passed recon since your on Oahu
