Lowered 3/4, debadged, led tails, projector headlights with hids, billet grill, blacked out windows, painted front and rear bumper and grill shell. Inside, 4 crappy 15's, suede wrapped headliner and door panel inserts, alpine double din, few painted pieces inside, and every led is either blue or white.
I'm looking for this piece, so far I have only found it in silver. If you have it and want to sell please let me know.

This is the only picture I have as a reference. I'm talking about the piece that is on the bottom left corner in front of the console.

I recall seeing in a build thread (i think??) here recently that someone took some sort of an oil and some fine steel wool and scrubbed all the paint off, leaving that part black.

    Might be an option??

Mine is too messed up. When I tried painting it the paint got contaminated somehow and after I sanded it down and resprayed, then did it again it was too messed up to even try taking the paint off.

Try posting a pic of it..... you know the saying, "a pic is worth a thousand words"?? In some cases, probably 2 or 3 thousand....

Ya, that's what he's talking about

yea not exactly sure what you mean by your paint got contaminated. Did you clean the surface after you removed it?

I think we are all talking about the same piece lol. But yea, somehow the paint reacted really weird and when I sprayed it it started "cracking". I don't know how else to describe it. I've painted tons of parts before and have never had this problem. And I did prep it. I scuffed it up and wiped it down with acetone so it seems really strange but that's what happened.

And I don't have any pictures of it because it is in the trash lol. I am done trying to fix it, I sprayed the primer on so thick and right before it started to fully cure it did that "cracking" thing again. By then the paint was caked on way to thick for even paint thinner to remove it without putting way more effort into it than I wanted to do.

So there, haha that's where I'm at.

Or I know there's people on here from the San Jose area. Maybe you could ask them to pick it up and ship it?

Yea that's what I need but I need the black one. I found a few of that color for like $40 on here before but I want the black. Thanks for the offer and for posting that link though.
