Looking for 4 FJ TRD gun metal gray wheels. Saw a set on fleBay but I don't need 5 wheels so the set is pricey.

Yeah they're pretty rare, but once in a while they turn up. Since they're limited edition, you have to supply a valid 07 FJ TRD VIN to get them from a dealer. People have them, and they do come through here every so often/ GOOD LUCK!

no, those wheels are like the ones that come on the "rugged trail" taco and maybe some version of the FJ...the ones the OP wants are no longer being sold..i barely got my set some 2 years ago...and that was after being on a wait list for over 6 months!

No he wants the gun metal/anthracite FJ TRD SE wheels not the Trail Teams matte black wheels. They are available at the dealership I go to for $175 a wheel so they are overpriced on the ebay link.

your dealership still has some for sale to everyone? have you asked them, cause from my understanding you need a FJ vin registered to your name to even buy those now, as they were limited edition.

let us know cause that would be a good source for those who want the TRD SE wheels

I think you're referring to the matte black ones not the silver or gun metal/anthracite wheels. The OP is talking about the gun metal wheels not the TT matte black wheels that you had to jump through hoops to get and are way overpriced on ebay.

I believe these are the ones the OP is referring to:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYO...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

no, im refering to the TRD SE (as stated) gunmetal ones from the '07 TRD SE (only 3200 made) edition FJ. the 08 TT wheels are the black ones.

i thought you stated that you can get the gunmetal ones (TRD SE) at your dealer for $175/each. i was just asking if this was true and if you have actually tried to purchase them as the gunmetals are no longer for sale from my understanding. so if you can get the gunmetals, that would be a great deal for others to look into.

Hey fellas! Yeah the ones I am referring to are the TRD SE gun metal/anthracite which I am being told you can't get anymore. Called my local Toyota parts dept and said they could only get the silver wheels. They checked around other Toyota stores to see if they had any available and all are saying the same thing "Nope can't get those anymore". I think I may have scored some, 5 wheels at a very good price. The 5th one may be a good idea anyway since they are such a pain to get a hold of, kind of nice to have that one laying around for just in case.

Well, I went to the dealer on some other business. I went to the parts department and they had one of the wheels on display. I asked the parts guy how much and If I could buy them if I didn't have an FJ. He said they were $172.50 each and that he would sell them to me but said I would need to run spacers to fit them on the Tacoma( I haven't verified if others are running spacers with their FJ TRD wheels but I was under the assumption they are a direct bolt on.)

So I said I would like to order a set and clarified that I wanted the gunmetal finish. He looked at them again and stated that they would come in that finish and that they came with lugs.

I guess we will see when they come in if they are in fact the gunmetal finish.

Did you happen to get part #. I had one guy at Toyota about 2 weeks ago say he could and then I ask for part#'s and came home to verify with other info on the net and sure enough they are for the silver wheels. But shoot if you can get the gun metal I say get them even if you don't need them cause you could flip them and make a little profit.

Yes, and I have a feeling they are going to be silver when they get here. The part# is PT904-35070. When I punched it in it just said Alloy FJ wheel but the price was $120.

Okay an update. I checked the part# and it is for the silver finish wheels. I called and talked to the parts guy and he said that what was ordered was the PT904-35071 but there is a bug in his system. He said there are twenty wheels in his warehouse and they should be here on Wednesday so we will see. He reassured me that it will be the gunmetal smoke wheels.

yea, the part number ends in 71 for the gunmetal. and they fit perfectly w/ no spacers on the taco (i've been running them for over a year now), they actually have a little less backspacing than the TRD rims that came w/ my truck. i think they are 4.5, whereas the TRDs are something like 5 or 5.25.

Is there a DEDICATED thread to pics of people's FJ-TRD wheels on Tacoma's?

If a dealer won't sell you em without a VIN just go to autotrader.com and look up a fj like you need the wheels from- they list their VIN's.
