Looking to buy LR UCA's. I don't care if the bushings and or ball joints are shot. Just need the arms to be in decent shape with no bends.

SPC in fact will be selling a replacement poly pivot bushing retro kit. All new UCAs will be getting the pivot bushings as well. I will be a test pilot for them on the retro. I can use my current LR UCAs to do the swap but don't want the down time.

Thanks for the link. I saw that earlier. Too pricey for what I want to do. I need something that's pretty much shot.

Dammit! I e-mailed them last week about those poly bushings because I wanted to pick that set up and retrofit them :(

They told me they wouldn't be out for sale until at least March at the earliest.

That statement is true. They won't be on sale till then. I would snag the ones you saw and wait a few weeks for them to be released. The new ploys are real nice :D I should have them installed by next week sometime if all goes well.

The reason I'm not jumping on them is I also heard a rumor that swapping them to the poly bushings won't necessarily be a straight forward bushing swap whatever the hell that means. I was going to wait for the kit to come out, see what it entails and then maybe take a crack at it. Worst case, I'll buy a new set from Metaltech or Fat Bobs. One of them is bound to have another sale.

Make sure you post up about the poly bushings!

Now I wonder if that is why we got such a good deal on these with the TW group buy that just ended? Maybe they wanted to purge their stock?
I doubt we will get the new ones with the poly bushings in the group buy

    Will keep you posted

Who knows, you may get the new ones. I wouldn't worry about the old style though. They will last a long time if you set them up properly. Just got to make sure you tighten the long bolt while the truck is on its own weight. Don't tighten while jacked up.

Not like everybody is even having issues with the older style bushing .

Indeed. There's no way he's still driving it like that though. :notsure: meaning. It's got to be fix or replaced by now.

I wouldn't worry about it. They had a couple issues with the really old sets where the bushings didn't hold up but have since upgraded the bushings and they seem to be holding up fine. The poly bushings will probably be better but it's not like you bought something that's going to crap out on you any time soon.

As far as the latest and greatest, LR UCA's are nice and get the job done, but they are still the cheapest on the market. If you want the latest and greatest, I think you'd be looking at an expensive uniball setup w/ SS balls and greasable poly bushings. Just sayin...
