[WTB] OEM Manual Shift boot chrome retainer

Looking to buy the oem chrome shift boot retainer thing.

if anybody knows the part number that would also be super helpful! I’ve called like 4 dealerships and none of them could find the exact piece in their system.

 

Rick of knob fame once told me you can’t buy it separately.

I have mine painted black. Pretty sure you don’t want that.

I’m actually the guy that bought the aluminum one you were selling not too long ago. The issue is my wife recently learned to drive my truck and she prefers the oem knob and for a couple months in the summer it’s consistently 100+ and so it acts like an iron brand on my hand so I’d like to swap between the two. Unfortunately the oem knob was just jammed onto the retainer thing from the factory so I had to break the plastic teeth on the inside the get the knob off which is why I’m on the hunt for a new one.

Surprisingly the oem pro knob is a perfect fit inside the retainer from ricks knob, but there’s just no way to attach it and keep it from falling down

 

Rubber grommet to hold up the Rick collar.

hacksaw to cut off the plastic on Oem or pro knob.

 

I tried the grommet but there was still a tiny gap, might have to get a better/stiffer grommet.
