I am looking for a shell that will fit a 2010 DC Tacoma TRD in metallic gray. Either an ARE or Leer. Let me know what you have. I am in W. Ky.

    5 or 6 foot box?

    Good luck finding either!!

I'm looking for a MGM 6' Leer or ARE and it's a real needle in the haystack deal................................I'd imagine I'll have to go with a new one rather than hunt one down.

Guessing you found one? Old posts, no follow-ups. There are a few possibilities, I have a Leer 100R for a short bed, its just in Speedway Blue. There are a couple other glass caps for sale on here too.

Look no further (unless you have a long bed.) Check out link above. My Dad lives in BG. I was contemplating having him go check this out for me and, if in good enough shape, pick it up for me until I made it in to town to visit again. In the end, I decided that a tonneau cover is more in line with what I need. Dude doesn't advertise what kind it is, so not sure if it's a Leer or an ARE.

I'm in the waiting mode now, plunked down the deposit for a new Z series ARE. Leer has always graced my trucks in the past so we'll see how this one goes.

Yes I found a leer Xl in the silver. I am getting it painted and paid less than a grand for the topper and paint job. I found out while looking at tops and talking to my local body shop that there are actually 7 different shades of the metallic gray that I have and my body shop said that finding a topper that was my shade would be difficult to say the least. So I decided with my truck having under 10,000 miles and I knew it would be mine for at least the next 6 to 7 years I wanted the paint to match perfectly. I decided to go after the exact topper then paint to match since finding one to match exactly would be nearly impossible. this is also why I haven't traded for a scooped hood. I hate mismatched colors.

And the guy who did my painting also is a golfing buddy so he wasn't just telling me about the paint shades to paint to get business.

Armor: ARB Bull Bar, Rocktek rear bumper and custom rock sliders. Other: Rigid Industries LED Light Bar, Platinum DieHard Battery, BlueSea Fuse Block, rear lights, bed lights, leds inside.
For Future Reference.........anybody needing a topper should consult with Suburban Toppers out of Denver Colo. I got a color matched ARE CX Series loaded topper from those guys for around $1000 installed. They can work it to where they ship it to your local dealer who sells the ARE toppers. They go straight from the Manufacture Warehouse to the local dealer. This is how I save about $1500 (yes you read that right, my local dealer (DFW Corral out of Dallas) wanted close to $2500 hundred installed for the same topper). I came across Suburban Toppers after reading a few posts and contacting those guys and just being honest with them and what I wanted.

Give those guys a shot, you never know what can happen. I did and got an awesome deal. :D
