Try olight, expensive but with it IMO. Brighter than stream light by far. Although stream light is very good for the money.

The surefire e2d I've seen ranges from $150-$200. Streamlight is a much better option at $40 with comparable output. My streamlights have never failed on me, or have broken even with hard use and accidental drops.

I own Streamlight Stinger and Protac 1L and I carry them daily.

The 2L you can find for $40-$50 online
    I got my 1L for $15 :D
My Stinger I got at a yard sale for $30, but they run around $100 with charger and spare battery.

Also, if you're looking at the 2L over the 2AA, get the CR123A batteries from amazon.com I got a pack of 16 CR123A batteries for under $12. At a store, 2 CR123A will be $9

The incandescent is at a good price for $80, but the LED is $180. You're gonna want LED for battery life and contrast. Even though incandescent has a farther throw, its pretty much useless because the yellow light just blends with the surrounds. I love the contrast of a white LED.
