    Why do you have to change both? :confused: It seems like once you're doing a big custom job, either aftermarket or fabbed parts and adapters would allow you to do just about anything you wanted.

    I'm sorry to thread jack here. I'll even delete my posts when I'm done.

    Why can't you just re-gear the rear to match the front? Why can't the front axle be a slightly different size than the rear? So what if it's an inch or two wider? It would make a more stable platform for off roading.

    Not to be annoying. I'm just curious.

    you get the same gears ratios in the early axles and you just run a wheel spacer to make upthe diffrence

    im not sure exactly whatll happen i just know you want the same type axle for front and back

    its a very logical question, but i cant answer it, im just going by the info i got when i wanted to SAS my truck

    :notsure:Well, at least you're honest. Thank you. I still don't get it though. Most vehicles have different front and rear axles whether from the factory or custom. In fact, having matching axles front and rear, like Dana 44's for example, is quite rare.
