Yup, I think URD is the direction you should go instead of TRD. The decision is really up to you, but there is TONS of support regarding URD and their systems from both the company and other customers. So advice at your finger tips in a heartbeat. Plus, I just think you get more for the price out of the URD system

Too much for TW to know
For that price range you will be looking at a TRD S/C with a lot of miles on it and most likely without the 425 trd injectors. I paid more but I bought one with the whole kit and no miles.

Dont avoid the TRD because you had someone try to rip you off, just avoid that place. Those folks should be shot, thats almost a 100% mark-up. If your going to spend the money for a S/C, read up on the two. They are a little different when it comes to performance. I believe the TRD gives your more low end and the URD gives your more high end. Its your truck, do the research and buy the S/C that will best suit your needs. I have a TRD, and love it. I have also never been in a truck with a URD. I do however buy other products from URD. Every performance product I bought after my S/C came from URD. Great company, Great service, Awesome technical knowledge!

Canada usually is about 100% markup on factory motor parts vs the US

MSRP of the TRD supercharger in the US is $4500 for 304 hp. But you never pay msrp.

The URD supercharger for 05-08 Tacoma is $5895 for 340 hp

I started typing this out to prove TRD was better cause it was cheaper. But then I saw the hp #'s and me likey 340 hp
