Actually once the Company has a report and confirms you are still smoking.

No more insurance coverage or at best higher rates and limited coverage.

only 1 of those guys are on site. and my site isn't that bad. we are in SC and a manufacturing plant (working stiffs) so the vast majority are very anti prez. senator lyndsay graham came to our site and spoke on teh shop floor about future plans for working with the obama administration. he paused and smiled but not a single worker applauded. and the plant was shut down for his speech, so it was the loudest silence i've ever heard in person. very awkward but kinda funny at the same time.

1: As Much as the company will tell you that it is about your safety and health IT IS NOT.
Because of the health care bill insurance is going up next year.
The company will most likely get a discount for having a smoke free environment.
2: The company is also looking at productivity. there have been studies(If they are true or not they don't care) that show smokers are less productive.
3: People eating or drinking fast food and coffee does not increase the health insurance directly of the people that choose not to eat and drink fast food and coffee, or give cancer or other health issues due too second hand smoke.
So on the hand of ethics:
1: the comment that says you do not have to work there is 100% true. no matter what if you choose to quite or get fired you will not face any legal or physical harm from them. however in the Realworld you need to work and the job market is tuff so you will need to adapt to there request.
2: I would feel bad that i was costing my other cowokers who do not smoke money so i can pertake in a non work related activity on companys property.

I remember smoking on a flight from Providence to New York. Ash trays in the armrests. It was 1984.

I agree with the health bill idea.
A majority of smokers are lazy. You know how many times I've heard I need a cig Im going crazy. What a lame excuse. If I tried to take a break then it was what are you doing? Maybe all the smoking idots will quit and producton will go up plus insurance will take a dive for the company due to the cancer stick employees leaving. lol
